1974
How The Story Began.....
Historic El Nawawy flax oil and seed factory in Egypt, early years

The company’s story began with two hard-working Egyptian brothers, Mohamed and Mahmoud El Nawawy. El Nawawy brothers established El Nawawy for Oil & Seeds company in 1974. The company started as a flax seed crush mill to produce linseed oil and cake.

With time, El Nawawy brothers established their name in the linseed market. They were known for their honesty and integrity which was the pillar of their success.

1980

Later, El Nawawy brothers began to work with the flax fibers. They started with the processing and trading of locally grown raw flax fibers. With time, the business focus began shifting towards spinning flax fibers into yarn and twine. It was a natural transition given the company’s experience with flax products.

In 2002 We decided to expand by Establishing our sister Company Oliatra For industry To be the biggest Linseed oil extraction mill in Egypt on 13900 m Factory

Lately, we started polypropylene strings and ropes (Raffia) activity in our sister company (Oliatra for industry) to meet the increasing market demand on the polypropylene yarn products.
